Name: Melodie Petet
Age: 17
Appearance: Medium height with a slim build, with golden/brown eyes which change color with her mood. She has light brown-medium hair at just passed shoulder length. As for her dress sense, she's usually not one to dress fancy, so simple dresses which are usually extremely well coverage/modest.
Personality: Melodie is an extremely shy/quiet girl with a tendency to be frightened easily. She's kind, and friendly, however she has a complex of looking after others and wanting to please everyone, sacrificing what she wants. She finds it hard to trust herself, and others, and doesn't like to try new things in case it brings unpleasant results. She also can be extremely sentimental and finds herself looking back at the past a lot, wishing things didn't change. However, she's a curious girl and likes to find something interesting in everything, like the patterns of a dry leaf, etc. She dances with the ballet corps, but doesn't associate much with anyone. She spends most of her spare time reading fairy tales, or up on the roof of the Opera Populaire by herself.
History: Melodie was born in a small town just outside of London, England and was raised by her single mother, Karee. They moved to Paris when she was a small child and later Melodie discovered the reason of exile because of Melodie's arrival out of wed-lock. Melodie's mother came to the Opera Populaire to work as a maid for some of the chorus and ballet corps, and Melodie spent her days wandering off in search of hidden treaures around the Opera House. A week before Melodie's 10th birthday, Karee died from Pneumonia related illness and Melodie became more reserved and withdrawn, however Mme. Giry has included her into the ballet corps and she dances when she's not spending her time on the rooftop of the Opera House reading, or getting into other quiet mischief.

Now for some randomness to spark odd looks at the site.

As his cape of black silk flows behind him, he appears to her...when light is neither bright nor dim.
In the deep catacombs, he hides away from the outside world's cruelities, as well as the garish light of day.
He opens up his heart and shows her his own world in the darkness, and gets what? Denied, betrayed. Not exactly the results he wanted to end up with.
He wallowed in blood, but that - simply that, was what denied him in the end. The great joys of the flesh.

Kira has never been to The Opera house yet ever dream she has ever had has been here almost like it was her fate to come here. Kira stood out front in the cold just staring at the most beautiful structure in the world. Kira placed her bags on the ground in front of her and straightened out her dress and made sure it was perfect. Kira picked up her bags and started to walk up the steps and inside.

I am seriously thinking about shutting down the site. I sent out a mass email today requesting that some people apply for assistant admin and moderator positions. If I do not get some help in keeping this place active, etc it will surely die. As I do not have time to keep all of the admin duties on my shoulders, I must have help or be forced to shut down the site. I will give it a week and if I do not get help, I will close the Opera.
Riley Miller is naturally beautiful; bewitching brown eyes and long, dark brown hair. She may have a lean figure, and stands at about 5'9'', she isn't weak. Riley tends to wear dark colors like, sapphire blue or deep red, sometimes even gold. She has a scar or two on her right shoulder(from getting burned).
Personality: Riley may sometimes speak her mind, and sometimes that gets her into a bit of trouble. When it comes to meeting new people, she can be somewhat hesitant to trust them(been there, done that). She tends to keep to herself occasionally; she spends her time alone in the study - reading or drawing. Riley is a bit of a bookworm, she cannot help it. Her family is very important to her; she is especially close to her older brother.
History: Riley Miller was born in the heart of London, to James and Victoria Miller. She's the youngest of 3 children: her sister Anna(7) and her brother William(3). Riley's childhood was quite a pleasant one, well until she was 11 years old. Her sister Anna grew very ill, and later died. Riley's mother was devastated, blaming herself for what happened to Anna. But after a year and a half; everything is back to normal.
And then, when Riley was about 15, she met her first love. William did not like this man, not one bit. Riley didn't listen to her brother; but his instincts turned out to be right. The man wasn't interested in Riley at all, he was only using her. Riley was heartbroken. Later that year; there was a house fire and she almost lost her life, but she had a guardian angel that night - William. He saved her in the nick of time, but not before a piece of burning ceiling fell and it hit her shoulder - leaving a painful reminder. She and her family even had a debate on whether or not to stay in London, until her mum made a suggestion. 'Anna always dreamed of seeing Paris, well before she...', her mother had said before she started to cry. It was then off to Paris, where her mother loves to go to the Opera, bringing Riley along and sometimes James as well.

For me, I would be speechless. I would just stand there, saying not a single word. When it comes right down to how would the Phantom react, that is uncertain. He might not really know what to do if someone bursted into tears, right in front of him. I don't think he has that much experience in the consoling/comforting department, that's my personal opinion.
